Digital Oilfield Conference confirms methodologies of saving E & P costs. Second International Digital Oilfield Conference (IDOC 2011) was opened this Tuesday with a keynote speech from the Senior Vice President of ADCO (Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations) Engineering and Projects, Saleh Al Wahedi on behalf of the ADNOC Group.

The Inaugural Conference held at the Hilton Hotel, Abu Dhabi from April 20-21, 2010 was attended by over 150 international participants both from the Gulf and overseas.

The conference was initiated and hosted by ADNOC and the Keynote Address was delivered by Abdul Munim Saif Al Kindy. General Manager of ADCO. Sponsors of the event included Baker Hughes, Kongsberg, Microsoft, Schlumberger, SAIC, Emerson and OSIsoft together with the following additional exhibitors Matrikon, T3 Energy Services, vMonitor and Zencus.

Some 21 presentations were made covering the areas of the Status of DOF Evolution, Telecom Infrastructure and Connectivity to Enable DOF, Real Time Operations, Real Time Data Management and Integration, Integration and Application for DOF – Surface and Sub-surface and the Future of DOF and in addition to the aforementioned companies Weatherford, SAS Institute, Well Dynamics, ABB, Oracle, PDO and Shell were among the presenters.
