Second International Digital Oilfield Conference (IDOC 2011) was opened this Tuesday with a keynote speech from the Senior Vice President of ADCO (Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations) Engineering and Projects, Saleh Al Wahedi on behalf of the ADNOC Group. Mr Al Wahedi talked about the importance of the digital oilfield implementation in the Middle East, and has mentioned ADCO’s choice of North East Bab field to pioneer the Smart field concept within the company from the early field development stage. ADCO has dedicated a full time team with expertise to develop and implement an integrated programme with a goal to see key Smart Fields features available across all their assets by 2015.
